The Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness is a partnership of local service providers, non-profit organizations, all levels of government, business and the faith community located in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. The Coalition aims to create 1,233 new housing units for the region’s homeless and at-risk by 2018. We do this by coordinating a community response to homelessness.
The Coalition’s priority areas for 2010/2011 include:
- strengthening ties with Aboriginal & First Nation communities
- better engaging with all CRD municipalities
- developing and implementing a prevention plan
- strengthening relationships with Coalition partners
- community engagement and improved communications through the use of social media tools and presentations to community groups.
